Terms of use

Foodculator records what you buy, what you make, what it costs and what you sell it for. It does not take payments, hold money, arrange delivery, list your kitchen anywhere, or introduce you to customers. Anyone eating your food is your customer and not ours — we have no relationship with them and make no promise to them about you.

One person, one account. Keep your password or your device to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. You must be old enough to run a business where you live.

Your recipes, prices, customers and orders belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and do not use them to build anything of our own. Aggregate counts of which ingredient names cooks type — never joined to a customer, an order or a price — are used to decide what to add to the shared catalogue.

Costs, prices and profits are worked out from the numbers you enter. If a price is wrong going in it is wrong coming out. Nutrition figures are estimates, calculated from ingredients before any cooking loss, and must never be presented to anybody as a nutrition fact or described as certified, verified or guaranteed.

Allergen warnings are an aid to you before you cook, and nothing more. The absence of a warning means only that nothing was tagged — never that a dish is free of anything. The app will not generate a claim that a dish is free of an allergen, and neither should you unless you know it to be true.

This is a small operation and the app is provided as it is. It will sometimes be down. Keep in mind that your orders matter more to you than to any piece of software, and that the database is backed up continuously by Neon.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, and nothing is held back. We may close an account that is being used to break the law or to abuse the service, and will say why.
